Industry Questions

6 questions
Does the brand of a peptide matter?

The brand name does not change the identity of the peptide molecule itself.

What does matter is whether the supplier can provide evidence of the quality and identity of the contents of the vial. If independent testing confirms the contents as pure, a peptide such as GHK-Cu is the same peptide regardless of the brand name on the label. There are not different "types" of GHK-Cu from different brands. What can differ is the purity of the product and whether the supplier can verify that through third-party testing.

Rather than focusing on the name printed on the vial, it is generally more useful to evaluate the evidence behind the product, including the authenticity and credibility of its independent Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

NOTICE: Applies to Research Vials Only, Not Research Pens

The information above applies to sealed, unreconstituted research peptide vials only. It does not apply to pre-mixed research pens.

Pens have additional factors that a peptide COA alone cannot confirm, such as where and how the peptide was mixed, what it was mixed with, how much it was diluted, when it was mixed, whether sterile conditions were used, and whether the correct cold chain requirements were maintained.

As part of Peak Theory’s regulatory and compliance approach, we do not offer pre-mixed research pens or related services and therefore cannot comment on, assess, or provide info regarding these products.

Why can a 10 mg and 30 mg peptide vial look almost identical?

The mg stated on a peptide vial refers to mass, not how much space the powder should visibly occupy. Peptides are supplied in very small quantities, so even the difference between 10 mg and 30 mg represents only 0.02 grams of material.

The appearance of lyophilized powder can also vary depending on how it has formed during the freeze-drying process. For this reason, the amount of peptide in a vial cannot be accurately determined by simply looking at the size or appearance of the powder.

The stated quantity should be confirmed through appropriate analytical testing, not visual appearance.

Does a more expensive peptide mean better quality?

Not necessarily. A higher price can reflect many factors, including profit margins, manufacturing costs, packaging, marketing, distribution, and overheads. Price alone does not demonstrate the identity, purity, quantity, or consistency of a peptide, regardless of what is claimed by others.

Both can be true:

There are suppliers charging premium prices without providing Certificates of Analysis (COAs), while others may rely on extremely old COAs from other companies, generic vendor documentation, or certificates that cannot be traced to the laboratory.

Equally, there are suppliers offering more affordable “Cheaper” products while maintaining high-quality standards through genuine independent testing and transparent documentation.

The most meaningful evidence of the quality and identity of the product you are purchasing is NOT THE PRICE. It is an authentic Certificate of Analysis (COA) from a reputable third-party laboratory that can be verified and traced to back to them.

Can a cheaper peptide still be high quality?

Yes. A lower price does not automatically mean lower quality, just as a higher price does not automatically mean better quality. If independent testing confirms the identity and purity of the product, the peptide molecule itself does not change simply because one supplier charges less or another supplier charges more.

A supplier may choose to operate with lower profit margins, reduced overheads, or a different business model while still maintaining high-quality standards.

The most meaningful evidence of the quality and identity of the product you are purchasing is not the price. It is an authentic Certificate of Analysis (COA) from a reputable independent third-party laboratory that verifies the identity and purity of the peptide tested.

Why do people say different brands are “better” if the molecule is the same?

People may prefer certain brands based on reputation, price, packaging, recommendations, previous experiences, or personal opinion. However, these factors do not change the identity of the peptide molecule itself, provided its identity and purity can be independently verified.

If independent testing confirms the identity, quantity, and purity of the peptide, the brand name does not make the molecule different.

Personal opinions and brand reputation are not a substitute for independent analytical evidence. An authentic, verifiable Certificate of Analysis (COA) provides objective evidence of what was actually tested. In a research environment, evidence should always speak louder than opinion.

What does the mg on a vial actually mean?

The mg value refers to the stated amount of peptide material in the vial, measured in milligrams. It describes quantity, not purity or strength of effect.

Quality, Testing & COAs

4 questions
Do you test your products?

Yes. Peak Theory submits its products for third-party laboratory testing. Testing is performed by Janoshik Analytical, one of the world's most recognised laboratories for peptide analysis, ensuring the analytical results come directly from an independent laboratory rather than from Peak Theory itself.

This approach helps provide transparent, unbiased verification of the identity and purity through an authentic Certificate of Analysis (COA).

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A Certificate of Analysis, commonly called a COA, is a laboratory report for a specific product batch. It records the testing performed and the results obtained, which may include identity, purity, quantity, or other relevant analytical information depending on the test.

Where can I view the COA for my product?

Available COAs can be viewed on the relevant product page on our website. Products with a completed COA also include a QR code on the vial label, allowing you to open the corresponding report directly from the vial. If testing is still pending, the product will display an “Awaiting COA” notice.

Why do you provide direct laboratory links instead of screenshots?

Screenshots and saved images can be edited, cropped, or reused. A direct link allows you to view the original report on the laboratory’s own website and verify the report details for yourself. This gives you a clearer and more trustworthy way to check the documentation.

2 questions
Do you provide dosage or usage advice?

No. Peak Theory supplies research materials strictly for analytical research purposes and does not provide dosage recommendations, administration instructions, research protocols, or guidance relating to human or veterinary use. We can assist with product specifications, documentation, availability, ordering, and shipping.

Can you recommend which peptide I should choose?
